Our varieties

The Royal Court™ is a strain of Cortland that resulted from a limb sport in Nova Scotia. It resembles the Cortland in almost every way, but it is much more intense in colour. Its colour is also deeper than that of the Redcort. It ripens at the same time as the Cortland, sometimes even earlier. The fruit is large. Its flesh is creamy, crisp and more acidic than the Cortland. It stores just as well as the Cortland. A definite improvement!
