Native to Minnesota, the Honey Crisp tree produces a medium-sized fruit if not thinned. The cream-coloured flesh is juicy and very crisp. The flavour is sweet and aromatic. This hardy tree is not vigorous and has low susceptibility to scab. The fruit reaches maturity in early October and appears to have a good shelf life under specific conditions (acclimatization period, room temperature of 3ºC, preferably separated from other varieties).
