Our varieties

Originally from New Zealand, the Gala and its various strains have been a tremendous success with consumers. It is crisp, attractive and aromatic, with non-browning flesh that is perfect for salads or sliced apple snacks. The Gala is renowned worldwide. Widely produced in the United States and Chile, it is less frequently grown in Quebec due to its limited hardiness. For use in very well-located orchards only! The Gala variety is very sensitive to fire blight. Sound growing practices and proper orchard hygiene are imperative for this excellent variety that always sells well. If you succeed in producing it, you will find buyers!
